With the ban of Dr. Seuss books on online websites, prices for not just six books but many other Dr. Seuss books have gone up in prices. On Amazon, Dr. Seuss books are listed on Amazon, the copies of “If I Ran the Zoo”start selling at $939 and have gone up to $5,000. The other discontinued book, “The Cat’s Quizzer” is being sold for $875 or for $1,600. The discontinued books are in high demand on Amazon and Barnes & Nobles is sold out! There are three other Dr. Seuss books that are now listed on Amazon’s bestseller list. 

 The six discontinued books, “And To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Stress,” “If I Ran the Zoo,” “McElligot’s Pool,” “On Beyond Zebra,” “Scrambled Eggs Super,” and “The Cat’s Quizzer” are being discontinued due to the racist content in the books. Ebay’s spokeswoman reports  that it “ is currently sweeping our marketplace to remove these items.” 

Along with the ban of the books comes with the need to collect the banned books.
