Among Us – We Play Together

With limited opportunities for social interaction during the Covid-19 pandemic, Among Us, a multiplayer online game has becomes a popular way for students to have fun with their friends. Among Us is a free platform to all and available on Windows, ios, and Android.

The game is designed with 10 players and one of them is the “imposter” while the rest are “crew members.” Players start out in headquarters and are released into the spaceship where the crew members are to complete tasks while the imposter is among them trying to kill someone without revealing their identity.

After  someone is killed or a meeting is called, crew mates vote who they think is the imposter among them. The player with the most votes is kicked out of the match, and if he or she is the true imposter, the game is over and the imposter loses.

The goal is for the crew mates to survive and figure out who the imposter is before being killed while the imposter’s goal is to kill all the crew mates without being caught or suspected as the imposter.

Senior Eric Sandeen remarked, “I like to play Among Us because it’s a fun game to play with friends.” Teamwork and communication are important aspects of the interactive game.

Among Us brings together friends to be able to interact in a fun and safe way during these hard times.
