Keep your eyes open during graduation as Aidan Griggs-Demmin and Grace Utnehmer will be recognized as the valedictorian and salutatorian of the class of 2022. 

Griggs-Demmin and Utnehmer have taken similar paths towards academic excellence in the classroom, taking numerous Advanced Placement (AP) classes, as well as sticking to strict study schedules.

Meet your valedictorian, Aidan Griggs-Demmin! Academic success is nothing new for the Griggs-Demmin family. Aidan is the fourth Griggs-Demmin to earn valedictorian at SVHS, boasting a jaw-dropping 4.52 GPA over his rigorous 4 years including taking 11 AP classes! 

Aidan is signed and committed to continue his athletic and academic career at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. 

Grace Utnehmer (they/them) has taken a similar path towards academic excellence. Your salutatorian finished with a 4.5 GPA over their 8 semesters, while earning A’s in all 13 of AP courses. 

Grace’s key to success is studying many hours over their material as well as getting homework done as soon as they get home.  

Grace will be attending New York University this upcoming fall and will be majoring in journalism with a focus on queer studies.
