After the pandemic stole the class of 2020’s hopes of walking across the stage with their class and turning their tassels, the class of 2021 wanted to experience the traditions of graduation. 

Covid numbers have decreased in Sonoma County and with that news SVHS announced graduation will be held on the new sports field on June 4 at 6:00 p.m. 

The pandemic has wreaked havoc on students’ lives and for the class of 2021 they have missed being campus the majority of their senior year returning to in person learning only a short time ago. 

With the completion of the field, the class of 2021 will be the first class to graduate in the new stadium. The district is awaiting the newest COVID numbers to determine the number of attendees each graduate will be able have in attendance.  

Student voice, Sophia Riebli, expresses her enthusiasm for graduation, “I am excited to be the first class to graduate on the new field with our whole entire class together!”
