Air Pods: Headphones Or Hidden Microphones

AirPods have taken over and have become the newest trend. The powerful devices have added a new feature that has made Apple product users suspicious. It is called Live Listening, and it allows someone to listen through iPhones into the headphones from some distance away. The new update is called Live Listening, Apple describes Live Listening as a hearing aid that can help users hear conversations in a noisy room.

The Dragon’s Tale staff tested the function and it was revealed to be accurate for a great distance. Apple users say normal AirPod use is about 33 feet. Live Listening was found to be successful for over 500 feet with no obstructions.

It was not able to hear from as far inside, but still, about 55 feet in a metal building through multiple walls and about 100 feet through one metal wall.

The feature also worked though multiple levels in a building. The user went upstairs and was able to hear through the AirPods for another 75 feet away while upstairs.

Hearing aids are meant for conversation. However, most conversations are not 500 feet part, or on different floors of a building, which give rise to questions and leaves room for suspicion.

Apple did not addressed this feature to the public and was a surprise to most AirPod users until a post exposing Live Listening for seeming to be a spying device went viral, warning AirPod users of this hidden function.

The post caused concern for people, as no one wants to be listened to without knowing it.
