This Year’s Inside Look on Prom Dresses
Prom season has begun for many, including all the preparations that come along with it. This year the theme for prom is A Night in Vegas. Many students are wondering how to dress for the occasion.
Audrey King, senior, stated that she wasn’t trying to stay on theme, however, “Vegas is very black, red, and gold so I guess I will be on theme.” Despite some going along with the Vegas theme, intentionally or not, others are not planning to or simply sticking to their own color of choice when it comes to attire.
Groups of students have bought their dresses from Windsor, a retail dress shop geared to young women, because of the fair price. Sophomore Kelsey Bauer explained that, “I bought my dress from Windsor because prom dresses are lower priced.”
Although some students may not be following the theme this year, others still have a special feature in their dress. Kerry James, senior, remarks that her dress, “is a white dress with rose gold sparkles all around it.” Additionally, others are adding their own touch to their dresses.
Junior Siena Hoban emphasized that “my dress came with straps but I am DIY[ing] it and cutting them off.”
Alex Anderson, junior, explained that her dress, “is very universal and can be worn to several different occasions.”
