New Hang Out Spots by Pool
This past Monday coming back from break, SVHS opened a new seating area by the Little Theater. This area had been closed off for almost a year due to the construction of the pool complex. The area has brought new seating options for students to hang out on their breaks.
Zachary Yankee, senior says, “Im glad that the school has added more verity in seating areas on campus, especially now that we can’t go to our cars at break”.
The new covered area includes many benches as well as a new installation of grass, turf, and rock benches. Dawson Mettler, junior, remarked, “I really like the new area, it brings a nice natural look to that spot on campus.”
Along with this, the school put in a new weight room next to the hangout spot. The weight room itself is brand new, but still has all of the old weights and equipment the school has been using for the last few years. However, in the near future, the new weight room will be revamped with all new equipment for students and athletes. The school is expected to purchase new gym equipment by next year for all sports to be able to access. Nicholas Cope, sophomore, claimed, ” I’m excited to use the equipment in upcoming sports seasons”.
