Not All Doom Gloom
In years filled with trouble, it is easy for one to overlook all of the changes, inventions, and revolutions that have gone under the radar in recent years.
The Learning Passport is one in which easily accessible quality education is at the fingertips of many due to UNICEF and the Microsoft Community Training. The Learning Passport has been shown to be easily adaptable and flexible for adoption into roughly 20+ countries including Zimbabwe, Egypt, Honduras, and Laos. The program is an education model for early education, adolescent skills, primary and secondary education, but it is also a program for parents to learn tools to help assist students.
In order to combat climate change some companies have adopted ways to neutralize heavy amounts of C02 that is abundant in our atmosphere. One such way was to directly extract the C02 from the and funnel them elsewhere, to places such like companies that utilize it for sodas or fertilizer for farmers, the excess goes underground. Another company developed a crop in which grows heavily and quickly with sunlight and is grown to combat C02 directly by intaking much more than the average amount, these plants eventually are grown into food products.
Caption Health is a company utilizing AI and ultrasound technology to help teach and enact medical activities that take years to learn and master, as well as to create more accessible and cheaper tech. They have developed a way to detect disease earlier which saves time, resources, and can potentially impact lives.
OrCam is a way to read for people with mid to low vision, reading fatigue, reading difficulties such as dyslexia, and for people who need to consume large amounts of text. There is not a solid solution or remedy for dyslexia and it develops early on into a person’s educational life, but OrCam could offer early help and assistance for students who struggle with reading problems.
Of the 2.6 million miles of paved roads that cover the US none offer energy. A company known as Solar Roadways is leading towards constructing and replacing asphalt roads with their energy generating roads. These roads not only function as good as asphalt roads but also are capable of generating sustainable energy and could end up changing the way the world works.
