Leadership Continues School Spirit Virtually
The leadership class has put together a spirit week for October 26-30. This will be the first year hosting schoolwide activities virtually. This virtual spirit week will hopefully boost the school spirit currently lacking due to distance learning forced by the pandemic.
Student voice, Sophia Riebli, explains leadership’s motivation for engagement with students through virtual activities. “I think it’s really difficult for all grades right now because they don’t feel like they are a part of the school anymore because we are all online. We want to keep the students engaged and feel like they are still a part of the school and keep them motivated.”
Kicking off the week on Monday, October 26th is Pajama Day. Following on Tuesday with Crazy Hair Day. Wednesday is Pink out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thursday we are going to show our appreciation for Boosters by wearing our Dragon Day T-Shirts they provided. Lastly, Friday will be a day to wear your Halloween costumes.
Students can send in pictures of their outfits each day to the @SVHS_SPIRIT Instagram account to get a shoutout! Students can follow the Instagram account to get more updates on upcoming events next week.
