Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we are thankful for and give to our loved ones. All throughout Sonoma County, there are organizations to donate food and supplies to the needy.

Locally, F.I.S.H., Sonoma Raceway, and Redwood Empire Food Bank are all places to help and donate. Additionally, the website nokidhungry.org is a place where anyone can donate during the holidays — and year round.

The following list includes areas in Sonoma County that will be serving Thanksgiving dinners and helping out the community during this time of year.

  • Franchettis’ (11am-6pm, 1229 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa).
  • Redwood Gospel Mission (11AM-7PM, Sonoma County Fairgrounds).
  • The Community Church of Sebastopol (1pm – 5 pm November 23 (707) 823-2484, 1000 Gravenstein Hwy N., Sebastopol).
  • The Sonoma Community Center (3pm, Nov. 23.  126 1st St. W., Sonoma).
  • Vintage House. (3pm-6pm, (707) 996-0311, 264 1st St. E., Sonoma).
  • Windsor United Methodist Church  (Nov. 18. (707) 838-6898, 9451 Brooks Rd. South, Windsor).

During this holiday season, remember to help those in need, or show gratitude to the special people in your life.
